We invest in giving support to the black colored community by deepening artists, curators to our engagement and help experts of color, particularly black colored and afro-latinx individuals.
We invest in being strong advocates for all communities of color and attempt to shine the limelight regarding the amazing innovative outpourings of the communities.
We additionally acknowledge that anti-blackness is just a nagging issue both in the art community together with latinx community. We agree to learning more about ways we might be perpetuating anti-blackness or oppression unknowingly, and then we invest in making the changes which will enable us to become a profoundly comprehensive, diverse and equitable company.
This work is ongoing and deep. Museo de las Americas is consistently attempting to create a foundation of advocacy, help and self-reflection that is critical. We commit to building a framework centered around justice and equity as we move forward with strategic planning for our next five years.
